A recent report titled
GATEWAY
TO ADDICTION? published by Sen. Richard J. Durbin, raises concerns about
e-cigarettes: an unregulated product containing flavours that appeal children. The
document contain statements like:
“…companies market e-cigarettes in flavors that
could appeal to children and teens. For example, e-cigarette
manufacturers are marketing flavors like Cherry
Crush, Chocolate Treat, Peachy Keen, and Grape Mint…”
The main assumption
behind these statements is that flavours have no reason to be there except for
attracting young people (or children as he states).
Somebody noticed
that Sen. Dick Durbin is not
fighting against flavoured alcohol since Wine and Spirits Wholesalers of
America is heavily contributing to his political campaign, but probably he is
not aware of the existence of flavoured alcohol products. However, we are sure
that Sen. Dick Durbin will fight against
any flavoured and unregulated product that may (or will) appeal children.
Sen. Durbin: here are some pictures of unregulated and flavoured products aimed to
appeal children. As you can see, there are the same flavours found in
e-cigarettes, including Marijuana flavour. Also, condoms with Tobacco
flavours are a perfect gateway to addiction to cigarettes, as Whisky flavours
are to alcohol. Finally, Bacon
flavoured condoms will definitely lead to obesity.
These products are
obviously targeted (in your opinion) to children, especially young girls. We
look forward for a prompt ban by the US Senate.
